What is The Barrel Runner?

The Barrel Runner is the Sunshine Coast's only hop-on hop-off tour service, taking you to discover the region’s growing food and beverage trail.


Similar to other hop-on hop off services you may know, such as the Big Bus in Sydney, City Sightseeing Melbourne and Busabout in Europe, our services operate along regular routes throughout the day, stopping at up to four venues.


Basically, you can jump on at any of our three pick up points, then visit up to four of some of the best breweries, distilleries, wineries and iconic venues in your chosen region. It’s up to you which venues you visit. You can get off and on again at each stop, or just two, the choice is yours. As the bus continues along the scheduled loop all day, if you miss one pick up, you can get on the next one – JUST DON’T MISS THE LAST BUS back to your drop off location.


What regions can I visit?

We’ve tried to cover the coast from north to south and everywhere in between. Basically, we take you to the Noosa Hinterland, Noosa, Woombye and Palmwoods (on our Mooloolaba route) and Warana and Caloundra (on our Caloundra route).

How much are tickets?

Your all day ticket to explore the Sunshine Coast's food and beverage trail is just $99 per person. Cheaper and more reliable than rideshares or taxis and no need for a designated driver.


What’s included?

Pick up from any of our three locations across the coast, all day transport between venues across your region and return to your nominated drop off location.


Travel in safety and comfort with our local drivers, experts in the history and culture of our beautiful backyard and happy to share their insights, experience and recommendations with you. We also have eskys onboard and plenty of room for purchase you make throughout the day.


What’s not included

Venue tours, food, drinks and tastings.  


How do I book?

We’ve made the booking process super easy, using the following steps:

  1. Choose the region you’d like to visit (e.g.: Noosa)

  2. Select the date you wish to travel

  3. Select the number of tickets you need

  4. Choose your pick up location

  5. Add your contact and payment details

Congratulations - you’re booked and ready to go!

Where are the pickup and drop off points?

We have three convenient pickup/drop off locations across the Sunshine Coast:

  • Noosa Heads Bus Station: Corner of Noosa Parade and Noosa Drive, Noosa Heads.

  • Mooloolaba Bus Stop: At the northern end of Mooloolaba Esplanade, near the Mooloolaba Adventure Playground, Mooloolaba.

  • Caloundra Transit Station: 23 Cooma Terrace, Caloundra.


You need to meet us at your nominated pickup location, however if you decide to change your mind about your drop off location, just let your driver know.

*Please note: Your drop off location must be one of the above locations. Unfortunately, we’re not able to drop you at your accommodation or other locations not on the schedule.

Can I travel between regions?

Unfortunately not. For example, if you are on the Caloundra route you can’t swap to the Noosa route. Our buses only travel along the scheduled route in their region, routes do not cross over.


Venue stops and pickups

We’ll drop you off and pick you up out the front of each venue (or the closest safe point).


What if I miss the last bus back to my drop off location?


If you miss the last bus back to your drop off location, it will be up to you, at your expense to make your own way home.


Is there an age limit?

All participants must be 18 years or older. If you look under 25 years old, you may be asked for ID at venues, so it’s a good idea to have your ID with you all day.


Are there minimum and maximum numbers per bus?

We need a minimum of 6 people to run each route. This does not mean that you need a group of six. As this is a public service, minimum numbers can be made up of singles, couples or groups. As long as we meet our minimum numbers the bus will run.

Maximum numbers are 11 people. If you have a large group and would like to arrange a private booking, just let us know and we can organise this for you. Please email



Our hop-on hop-off tours are designed for fun, for you to explore the great food and beverage trail of the Sunny Coast without having to worry about finding venues or a designated driver.


Having said that, we also have duty of care for the safety and wellbeing of all our guests, drivers and venue staff. We strongly promote the Responsible Service of Alcohol and responsible drinking practices. If you are deemed heavily intoxicated, you may be cut off from further tastings and alcohol consumption by venues and refused re-entry onto our vehicles. No refund or compensation will be offered or provided if you have been refused alcohol for being too intoxicated.


If your driver sees that you are over intoxicated, disrupting other guests, rude, abusive, violent or lose any bodily fluids on the bus, you will be asked to leave immediately. You will not receive a refund and we will not be liable for your return transport costs.


Participants are responsible for their own behaviour and any damage caused during the tour to property and equipment owned and or hired by Tasty Tours/The Barrel Runner, venues, and suppliers. A minimum damage fee of $500 will apply to any damage, spillage, vomit, etc. on any  of our vehicles. ​
