Tasty Sunshine Coast

From the rolling hills of the Hinterland to its laid back vibe and world famous beaches, Queensland’s Sunshine Coast has something for everyone.

After you tour guide picks you up from your accommodation, your journey through the culinary delights of the Sunny Coast begins with a quick photo at the iconic Big Pineapple before heading to Sunshine & Sons Distillery to enjoy their superb small batch spirits, award winning gin and newly released Nil Desperandum Rum.

Created by four best mates with a passion for the warmth of the Sunshine Coast and beautifully made craft spirits, nestled in the lush Hinterland behind the Big Pineapple, this distillery is a must see.

Tour the distillery and meet Maria and Sarah, their gleaming 6,000 and 2,500 litre Tasmanian artisan pot stills. Hand-made from the finest German copper and meticulously custom-designed to create stunning and complex flavour profiles. See the volcanic rock used to filter their Original Vodka and learn the unique and funny stories behind their eye catching labels.

Head to the garden for an informative tasting session of their handcrafted spirits including Pineapple Parfait Gin, inspired by the 1970's desert once served at the Big Pineapple. Original Dry Gin, bursting with natural Australian botanicals. Mr Barista, an organic molasses spirit infused with coffee and macadamia nuts. Original Vodka, pot-distilled and filtered through local volcanic rock.

Independently owned brewery, Heads of Noosa Brewing Co. is a local icon on the craft beer trail. With a passion for lagers and a focus on quality, these guys produce truly enjoyable beers for everyone.

Inspired by the nearby rocky headlands of Noosa Heads, East facing, the Heads stand upright to the full force of Mother Nature and the unbridled swell of the magnificent Pacific Ocean. It’s their very nature to craft these swells into one of Australia’s finest breaks. And it’s the nature and passion of these brewers to craft raw natural ingredients into some of Australia’s finest beers that are truly enjoyable.

Following time-honoured techniques of brewing, they innovate to continually improve their products. They also support other local businesses where possible in the search for the purest ingredients.

Here you’ll go behind the scenes to see where the magic happens and learn about the brewing process. If you're lucky you might just see the bottling process in action. Then enjoy a lunch of their house-made burgers and rustic fries and a tasting paddle of 4 beers.

Continuing North and heading past the foothills of Tuchekoi National Park, with Mt Cooroora in the backdrop, your next destination is beautiful Dingo Creek Vineyard. Hear the history of the vineyard and the story behind their unique wine labels.

Learn the art of swirl, sniff and sip during an interactive wine tasting of 6 of their premium wines. Then relax on the deck overlooking the vineyard while feasting on scrumptious grazing platters of cheese, cold cuts, dried and fresh fruit, nuts, dips and breads. To help you remember your experience, you take home your very own, etched Dingo Creek Vineyard wine glass.
