Tasty Hinterland

With sweeping views from Baroon Pocket Dam to the ancient volcanic peaks of the Glasshouse Mountains, a kaleidoscope of indie stores and award winning restaurants and bars, the Sunshine Coast Hinterland has it all. We've curated the perfect Hinterland adventure offering you the opportunity to immerse your senses in the very best produce the region has to offer.

The locals will tell you the best way to experience the Hinterland is to pack a picnic and hit the windy road. So sit back and enjoy a chauffeured tour in an air-conditioned vehicle, while our expert tour guides share with you the history and romance of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland.

Your experience begins with your tour guide picking you up from your accommodation, welcoming you aboard and you receiving your gift pack. Then a quick stop at our favourite café to pick up a freshly brewed coffee or hot beverage of your choice, before heading to our first destination.

A favourite with locals and anyone with a sweet tooth and appreciation for handmade delicacies. Established in 2006 for the local market, Lief Chocolates has established itself as a premium product in the region, with demand for their products moving the operation to a permanent location in Maleny. Maleny Chocolate Co. uses premium Belgian chocolate coverture as a base for their delicious creations that are made fresh onsite.

Without compound chocolate, preservatives and artificial flavours, the team combine local ingredients including Maleny Dairy Milk, macadamias, citrus and coffee beans that have been organically ground onsite and honeycomb that's made from scratch, onsite.

Tour the chocolate factory and store, view the team at work and taste some delicious samples of their premium chocolates, before popping on your apron and learning the art of truffle making. Make a box of 12 delicious chocolate truffles to take home with you.

Our next destination is Brouhaha Brewery, founded by locals who have a true love and passion for their region and high quality, locally sourced produce. The team at Brouhaha have set themselves a mission to educate the community and its visitors in the art of craft beer. Their core range has been carefully crafted and designed to tempt the average beer drinker to explore a new style of beer and start a journey with craft brewing and drink better beer.

Here you'll enjoy a tasting paddle of 4 beers from their core rage including their Maleny Larger, IPA, Strawberry Rhubarb Sour and Hinterland Pale Ale. With a rotation of 10 inhouse brews on tap, beers can be swapped to your liking. Your guide will share their philosophy behind the beer making process, taking you step by step through the brewing process in an in-depth tour of the brewery and give you an understanding of the beers in front of you.

Lunch will also be served during this stop and includes a range of entrees and pizzas, made from only the best and freshest local produce the region has to offer.
